The Ivanovo region elaborated draft program "The Development of Culture in the Ivanovo Region in 2013-2018." Governor Mikhail Men noted the importance of the implementation of the program at the special event, held on October 29th.
Landmark cultural objects have been brought to order in the region during the recent years; new projects have been implemented, new expositions have been opened.
"At the same time, there is still a lot to do. The circus building - an object of federal property - needs attention. The Russian Circus has a new administration now, so I hope the changes will get things off the ground," said the head of the region.
Positive trends in the field of the region's culture emerged in 2007. The new program will have a continuation. The program stipulates better quality of cultural services and their variety. According to the head of the regional department of culture and cultural heritage of the region, this is one of the urgent problems, typical for municipal cultural institutions.
The "Development of Culture in the Ivanovo region in 2013-2018" consists of several sections. The financing of the program makes up 260 million 592 thousand rubles. The regional budget will allocate 78 million 895 thousand rubles. The Government of the Ivanovo region will consider the program on November 13, 2012.
The participants of the event also discussed the upcoming forum of cultural workers of the Ivanovo region. The forum is set to take place on December 5th. "The event will be useful to cultural workers and municipal institutions in the first place.," governor Mikhail Men said.
