Medvedev changes his car to helicopter

The Security Service of the Russian President announced the creation of helicopter routes in Moscow. The routes will be used for the transportation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. According to Forbes.ru, the information was released by Natalya Timakova, the press secretary of the prime minister. The move is set to minimize traffic jams in the capital that occur during the movement of processions of top officials.

The press secretary said that Medvedev has recently held a meeting at an electric plants in the center of Moscow, where he arrived by helicopter as well.

In addition, press secretary of President Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters that the president decided to move most of the activities that do not require the presence in the Kremlin to his suburban residence of Novo-Ogaryovo, reports the Moskovsky Komsomolets.

"From the organizational and communicative point of view, there is no difference between working in Novo-Ogaryovo and the Kremlin. Putin goes to the Kremlin in case of ceremonial events: presenting state awards, credentials by foreign ambassadors, for state visits of foreign leaders," said Peskov.

He also noted that in case the president holds meetings in Moscow, Vladimir Putin tries to get to the point of destination by air so that the motorcade does not create traffic jams in the city. "He has minimized the movement of the motorcade in Moscow indeed," the Kommersant quoted Dmitry Peskov.
