United Russia wins elections triumphantly

Representatives of United Russia Party take the lead on the results of all five gubernatorial elections, which took place in Russia on Sunday, October 14.

Thus, in the Amur region almost 100% of ballot papers of the gubernatorial election have been processed. Oleg Kozhemyako, a candidate from United Russia wins with 77% of votes.

Candidate from the Communist Party, Roman Kobyzov, received more than 10%; candidate from Just Russia Dmitry Zharovsky obtained more than 2.5%; Liberal Democratic Party candidate Ivan Abramov received more than 8% of votes.

The electoral commissions of the Novgorod region have processed 95.17% of ballots.  Sergei Mitin, the interim leader of the head of the region wins with 75.98% of votes (United Russia), the regional election commission said.

The head of the Bryansk region, Nikolay Denin, wins the gubernatorial election with more than 70% of votes. His rival Vadim Potomsky from the Communist Party gained just over 25%.

In the Belgorod region, United Russia candidate Yevgeny Savchenko leads as well.

In the election of the head of the Ryazan region, acting governor, a United Russia member, Oleg Kovalev, wins the vote. After processing 96.7 percent of ballot papers, Kovalev leads with 64.76 percent of the vote. State Duma deputy Vladimir Fedotkin of the Communist Party comes second with 21.65% of votes. Alexander Sherin of LDPR got 8.91%. Alexandra Perekhvatova, a representative of the Right Cause, received the support from 3.01%.
