Transneft President says no deficit of export capacity is expected in Russia by 2010

By 2010 there will be no deficit of export capacity in Russia. As President of Transneft Semyon Vainshtok reported at a press conference organized by RosBusinessConsulting today, according to forecasts made at the request of oil companies, by 2010 oil output will be around 408-410m tons, while oil exports will total 210m tons. Russia will export 172m tons of oil to foreign countries and 39m tons to the countries of the Commonwealth of the Independent States (CIS). Vainshtok pointed out according to scientists and oil companies' forecasts, if this oil output proved to be the case by 2010, a deficit of export capacity would be expected to emerge. But after the implementation of Transneft's projects this deficit will be compensated for in full.
