Nizhny Novgorod Governor Valery Shantsev was satisfied with the works to rebuild the Zachatyevskaya (Conception) Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, as well as with the reconstruction of Rozhdestvenskaya Street.
The governor inspected the objects on September 26. All the works were conducted according to schedule and near the final stage, the governor said, Vremya N reports.
"We have recreated historical justice and rebuilt the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. We left a part of the artifacts that were preserved after the landslide, which occurred 200 years ago in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. As for Rozhdestvenskaya Street, one can already see that it gets an amazing look. In short, the city becomes more and more beautiful," said Valery Shantsev.
"There are powerful objects, such as subway stations, and landmark projects, for example, the renovation of Rozhdestvenskaya Street. We have long been waiting for the moment when the beautiful facades are put in order, and a fine pedestrian zone is created," the head of the region also said.
According to Shantsev, the restoration of the Zachatyevskaya Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin and the renovation of Rozhdestvenskaya Street cost 46 million rubles, V Gorode N publication reports. General Director of Star NN, Valery Kamaldinov, added that the look of the tower was modeled on drawings and archive documents. The objects will be completed before November 4.
