Ivanovo region governor determined to repair city yards

In 2012, 235 yards in Ivanovo will be repaired in the amount of 100 million rubles, governor Mikhail Men said during an inspection tour of the yard territories of ​​the city. He saw how the works were being conducted and checked the quality of the completed work.

Most of the yards in the city have not been repaired since the completion of the construction of apartment buildings. They tried to blame the governor last year that repairing yards was nothing more but a pre-election stunt. However, as time passed, the government of the region continues to clean up the yard territories and fulfill its obligations.

"We now have a database of the objects that are in need of repairs, and we gradually bring them to a proper condition. Our goal is to repair all of Ivanovo yards," said Alexander Kuzmichev, the head of the Ivanovo administration. According to him, the works to lay asphalt on the areas adjacent to apartment buildings will continue in 2013 and 2014. At the moment, the work has been performed on 31 objects in the amount of 17.2 million rubles. The asphalting of the yard areas is to be completed by October 15, 2012.

Mikhail Men was pleased with what he saw, but he was dissatisfied with the state of private-owned automobile garages and driveways to them: "Our regional center is becoming more beautiful with every year. But improvement is not one-way work. Residents must also participate in this work - to maintain their real estate properly," added Mikhail Men. He reiterated that the responsibility for drawing up protocols of administrative violations in the sphere of public amenities had been delivered to local authorities. In this regard, the governor urged the administration to actively monitor the status of Ivanovo private-owned garages.
