Yakutian President named 'Person of the Year'

Yakutian President named 'Person of the Year'. 46168.jpegEgor Borisov, the President of Sakha Republic (Yakutia) was awarded the title "Person of the Year 2011" in nomination "Governors, Mayors." The solemn award ceremony took place in Moscow.

Borisov was awarded the title for "introducing anti-crisis management programs and outstanding contribution in the socio-economic development of the republic, raising its investment attractiveness, developing the science of agriculture and for educational activities."

The ceremony took place in the Sergievsky Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The people, who contributed in the development of Russia in various fields, from religion to economy, also took part in the ceremony.

This year, the national title of the "Person of the Year" was awarded to Patriarch Kirill and Vladimir Putin. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin was awarded for his efforts to harmonize the city-building policy. Leo Bokeria was awarded for his unique surgeries. Sakhanews reports.
