A bus carrying Austrian tourists ran off the road and overturned in the southern Czech Republic on Friday, injuring 20 people, five of them seriously, an official said.

The accident was close to the Austrian border near the town of Rozmberk nad Vltavou, some 180 kilometers (110 miles) south of the capital, Prague, police spokesman Michal Marusak said.

The bus was carrying 34 people including the driver, Marusak said. Police were investigating the cause of the crash.
