Nepalese police opened fire on a group of Bhutanese refugees demonstrating outside their camp in southeastern Nepal, killing one and wounding several.

Police opened fire after the group of refugees defied a curfew and began throwing stones at police, according to the chief government administrator in the area, Jayamukunda Khanal.
