Israeli helicopter attacks Palestinian rocket launch site

An Israeli helicopter attacked a Palestinian rocket launch site in the northern Gaza Strip. Local hospital staff reported three people hit by machine gun fire.

The Israeli military could not immediately confirm or deny the report.

Earlier Tuesday targeted two camps used by the Islamic militant group Hamas, destroying a building but causing no casualties, Hamas said. Israeli officials Tuesday pledged a harsh response to a rocket attack that killed an Israeli woman the previous night.
