Minor explosion in Spain's Basque country

A small bomb exploded Saturday night in the &to=http://english.pravda.ru/politics/2002/09/21/36979.htm' target=_blank>Basque region after a warning call from the separatist group ETA, causing no injuries and minor damage, Basque police said.

The device went off outside a seafood warehouse in the town of Irura in Guipuzcoa province, the capital of which is San Sebastian, police in that city said.

ETA is blamed for more than 800 deaths since the late 1960s as part of its drive for an independent Basque state in northern Spain and southwest France.

Its last fatal attack came in May 2003 with a car bombing that killed two policemen.
