Accident in Chicago Suburb

A spokesman for Metra, a commuter line for northeast Illinois, said a train heading from downtown Chicago to Antioch, near the Wisconsin border, struck several vehicles during the Thanksgiving holiday rush hour Wednesday afternoon.

Spokesman Patrick Waldron said at least one of the vehicles burst into flames as a result of the accident. There was no information available regarding injuries.

CBS News reported at least ten vehicles were involved. Waldron said the train probably was carrying several hundred passengers when the collision occurred, AP reports.
