51 percent of Britains want troops to leave Iraq

Fifty-one percent of British people want the government to set out plans for withdrawing from Iraq, according to an opinion poll published Monday.

The ICM poll for The Guardian newspaper found that 64 percent of those questioned believe that the situation in Iraq is worsening, and only 12 percent thought that the British troops were improving the situation.

ICM interviewed 1,009 adults on Sept. 23-24, and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points, the AP reports.
