U.S. Navy giving hand to Russian mini-submarine

The U.S. Navy claims ready to provide a rescue vehicle to save a Russian mini-submarine trapped off the Pacific coast with seven people on board, spokesman for the Russian Navy Igor Dygalo said Friday.

Capt. Dygalo said in remarks broadcast on Russian television that a U.S. plane will fly to a base in San Diego, California, to pick up a robotic rescue vehicle and then deliver it to the accident site off the Kamchatka Peninsula, the AP reports.
