Militants in the Russian republic of Dagestan continue violent attacks on local police. Thursday evening two policemen were wounded in a blast in Dagestan's capital Makhachkala.
The policemen were patrolling Imam Shamil Avenue, and when they were leaving their patrol car an explosive device blew up, reports NTV. The explosion was supposedly conducted by a remote control.
Acts of violence against policemen have grown in Dagestan in the recent time. An explosion tore through a police post in Dagestan last Tuesday, causing deaths and injuries.
