Son of adviser to Azerbaijani ambassador to Moscow found dead with throat cut

The son of an adviser to the Azerbaijani ambassador to Moscow was found dead with his throat cut, city prosecutors said Monday.

Vakhid Naibov found the body of his 26-year-old son, Teimur, on Sunday in the apartment they rented in central Moscow. Investigators said the assailant or assailants appear to have rifled through the apartment and that valuable belongings had been stolen.

Vakhid Naibov is the director of a construction company in addition to working as an embassy adviser, and his son had been training at a commercial company, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported. It said that it appeared the son was killed on Friday.
