Putin: Russian energy company to blame for the blackout

President Putin thinks that the management of RAO EES Company (United Energy Systems) is guilty of today’s problems with power supply in Moscow and many other regions of Russia.

He said that, according to the preliminary information, the breakdown was caused not only by wear and tear of equipment, though the equipment had been installed as early as in 1966. But the main reason for the damage is insufficient attention paid by RAOEES to its day-to-day operations.
