A Russian lady and her eight-month son were killed in Malaga, Spain.
The police declined to disclose the murder victim's name and that of the attacker.
A Ukrainian citizen named Igor D. (b. 1966), who was detained in Malaga the other day, is suspected of murdering his common-law wife Irina P. (b. 1978) and her eight-month son Sergei.
According to preliminary reports, the man apparently could not sleep because the little boy was crying all the time; that's why he committed this crime. He attacked Irina with a knife, severely wounding her.
The woman ran out of the house, calling for help. Unfortunately, the ambulance arrived too late to save her and the baby, who died of their wounds.
Investigators have established that Irina P. had contacted the Malaga city hall 13 times, begging for help and complaining about numerous attacks.
City-hall officials suggested that she call the police because Spanish legislation otherwise forbade any action to be taken against her attacker.
