Attack on Russian military headquarters in Tbilisi injures General

An attempt on the life of Russian Lieutenant General Aleksandr Studenikin was reported late Tuesday night. Still unidentified assailants set off a radio-controlled explosive device containing TNT in the Tbilisi headquarters compound of Russian military forces in the Caucasus. The general was reported to have been hospitalized with minor injuries.

The explosion went off as Studeninkin was entering his residence, which adjoins the headquarters building.
