Several states condemn assassination of Yassin

The government of Venezuela issued a statement where expressed grief over Yassin's death and solidarity with Palestinians.

Earlier Iran Iran condemned Israel's killing of Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin as an act of state-sponsored terrorism against the Palestinian people.

"This is a criminal act and another example of the Zionist regime's sponsored terrorism and barbarism," said foreign ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi, quoted by the state media.
