Rosselkhozbank staff member attacked in Chechnya

An attack has been made on Shavazh Abdulmuslimov, the head of the Rosselkhozbank subsidiary, in the Groznensky district of Grozny. Abdulmuslimov was carrying 5 million roubles ($175,000), Chechen law-enforcers told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

"At about 10.30 am yesterday, six criminals shelled a Zhiguli car from an automatic rifle on the road near the Raduzhnoye settlement of the Groznensky district. Abdulmuslimov and a security guard of the bank were in the car," said the source.

As a result, Abdulsalimov was wounded, and the assailants disappeared from the site with the money.

According to the source, the stolen money was to be paid as wages for Rosneftegaz workers.
