MENATEP Saint Petersburg directors accused of tax evasion

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against MENATEP Saint Petersburg directors for tax evasion. The police economic crimes unit press secretary Tatiana Mironenko told Rosbalt that criminal proceedings were initiated as a result of a recent audit of bank records.

Police from the economic crimes unit conducted a search on the St. Petersburg office of the bank on December 1 and 2, while a search of the bank's Moscow office was conducted on December 9. As a result, relevant information was confiscated. The investigation will continue as part of the criminal proceedings.
