Crew rescued from storm-bound Russian ship in Sea of Japan

Thirteen sailors were rescued from the Russian ship Fest on Friday during the storm in the Sea of Japan.

According to the information of the marine rescue center in Vladivostok, the biggest port on the Russian Pacific coast, the storm-bound ship listed, water started to leak into the engine room, and the main engine stopped.

The Fest sent an SOS signal. Another Russian ship, which was nearby, came to the rescue. Despite bad weather, with the waves more than six meters high and the wind reaching 20 meters a second, the crew was saved.

According to the latest information, the list of the ship in distress reached a critical mark of 60 degrees. In other words, the ship is sinking.
