Explosion in Chechnya leaves one dead, five wounded

One serviceman died and five were wounded as a result of a landmine explosion in Chechnya, reports the republic's Interior Ministry.

As Interior Ministry interior troops were conducting engineer reconnaissance near Gikalovsky (Grozny region), a landmine exploded.

One servicemen was killed, another five hospitalized. Their health is assessed as satisfactory now.

Investigation is underway.
