Kazakh policemen prevent smuggling of marijuana to Russia

The police of Kazakhstan prevented the attempt of smuggling 127 kilograms of marijuana to Russia, reported on Wednesday the press service of the police board of the Eastern-Kazakhstan region which borders in the east with the Altai Territory of Russia.

This consignment of marijuana was discovered by the police in the administrative center of the region, the town of Ust-Kamenogorsk, in a KAMAZ truck. Three persons were detained.

On the eve of the detention, the police received information on preparations for smuggling a consignment of marijuana to Russia from the south Kazakh town of Dzhambul through the territory of Eastern Kazakhstan.

At the present time the police are establishing the whole chain of drug traffickers who have organized the channel for smuggling marijuana from the south of Kazakhstan to Russia.
