Uzbek customs detained large lot of heroin which headed for Russia

Customs officers detained 125 kg of heroin at Oibek customs office in the Tashkent Region jointly with the officers of the National Security Service and of the State Border Protection Committee of Uzbekistan. There was the inscription From Usama ben Laden on each package with drugs.

The deadly cargo whose market value is over 9 million U.S. dollars was found in an Ikarus bus which was going from Tajikistan to the Russian Federation via Uzbekistan.

One more conteiner for carrying drugs was disguised as an additional tank for diesel fuel installed under the back seat of Ikarus.

The driver of the bus - a citizen of Kirghizia - stated that he had been asked to carry the cargo to Russia for a large sum of money.

An investigation is under way.
