The force of each of the three explosive devices that went off in Krasnodar on Monday was equivalent to about 200 g of trotyl.
The bombs had timing mechanisms and were stuffed with bolts and screws to increase their deadly force, RIA Novosti learned at the local law-enforcement structures.
"Gunpowder was used as an explosive substance in these bombs, though terrorists usually use trotyl or plastid," the agency's interlocutor pointed out.
The three explosions injured 20 people and killed three, who have been already identified. They are 20-year-old Svetlana Shilyayeva, 30-year-old Yelena Zamokhina and 61-year-old Kim Kapatsky.
Criminal proceedings under the articles "terrorism" and "murder" have been launched.
