A fighter suspected of having been involved in arrangements for the act of terrorism in Moscow's Tushino on July 5 has been arrested in Ingushetia, a republic bordering on Chechnya, reports a source from the Ingush interior ministry. There is evidence, according to the source, that the detainee Alikhadzhiev is active in armed insurgent groups.
The fact of Alikhadzhiev's arrest has been confirmed in the Russian federal security service's North Caucasian department.
Last July, two female suicide terrorists put in action explosive devices at the site of the rock festival "Krylya" in Tushino, killing 16 people and injuring more than 50.
As investigation was underway after the arrest of Alikhadzhiev a week ago in Nazran, a cache of weapons belonging to him has been discovered in the private house of a certain Ozdoeva in the Nasir-Kort village, Nazran district, reports the source.
The cache has revealed a home-made explosive device, a Makarov gun, a Kalashnikov with a silencer, about 300cartridges of different calibre and four Kenwood radio station-mounted detonators, said the source.
