Rescuers are waiting for the weather to change for the better to resume searching for Ukraine climbers in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria (a federal republic in the North Caucasus), the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported on Friday.
"Avalanches do not allow the rescuers to resume the operation," the Russian Emergencies Ministry said.
On Sunday, August 10 at 5 pm Moscow time, three Ukraine climbers - members of the international mountaineers assembly - were buried under snow in an avalanche on the northern slope of the Dykhtau mountain, 5,208 meters high.
On Monday, avalanches interrupted the rescue operation involving 68 people.
