Two Russian tourists recover from car accident in Poland

Two Russian citizens, 19-year-old Irina Pylayeva and her mother Elvira Pylayeva, who were caught Monday in a car accident in Poland and delivered to hospital, have checked out home today, reports Alexander Yakovenko, the Russian general consul in Poznan.

On August 10, a bus with Russian tourists, bound from Berlin to Saratov, collided on a road in Western Poland with a Belarussian trailer, injuring 19 passengers. It has been established that the trailer driver was to blame.

The Polish authorities showed prompt efficiency and complied with all requests about assistance to the victims, says the general consul.
