The Chechen Ministry of the Interior (a north Caucasus republic within Russia) has reported that three militants from the Doku Umarov band were arrested.

The ministry reported that the militants, local residents Isayev and Agayev, were killed when they put up armed resistance; there were no casualties among the troops.
