Number of casualties in Mozdok increases to 34

Yet another body of a man killed in the Mozdok terrorist act has been recovered from the hospital debris. His identity is yet to be found out, said Viktor Beltsov, deputy chief of the press service at the Emergency Situations Ministry.

According to the information available to the ministry, 78 people suffered in the terrorist act, 59 of them have been taken to hospital; ten persons are in a critical state, and 19 have left home after first-aid treatment.

According to preliminary information, 120 people, including 28 people of the hospital personnel and 92 patients, were at the hospital at the time of the explosion. The number of persons visiting the patients is not known.

On Friday a heavy KAMAZ truck loaded with explosives broke into the territory of the Mozdok military hospital at about 7 p.m. The hospital building was practically fully ruined in the explosion.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia instituted criminal proceedings on charges of terrorism and murder.
