Uzbek drug dealer carries 71 heroin-full capsules in stomach

Last week-end, an Uzbek citizen who sought to smuggle to Russia a heroin consignment was arrested at Russia's biggest Asian city of Novosibirsk. According to the federal frontier guard service, he carried 71 capsules of drugs in his stomach.

As to Russian frontier guards in Tajikistan, they came across a cache with 40 kilos of heroin in the vicinity of the Kalayi-Khumbsky station on the Afghan border.

According to the federal frontier guard service, heroin amounts to 60 percent of the confiscated drugs. In all, more than 2,600 kilos of narcotics, including over 2,300 kilos on the Tajik-Afghan border, have been confiscated since the beginning of 2003.
