Chechen fighter surrenders

A rebel has surrendered to local authorities in the Shali district, report PR of the Federal Security Service board for Chechnya.

Hamzat Tushayev, 43, is resident of the village Dubai Yurt. He belonged to the Jama'at, illegal aggressive group with the bulk made up of his fellow villagers.

Tushayev came to give himself up with a Kalashnikov automatic rifle and a stock of cartridges. A check is underway on his criminal record and past involvement in gang crimes.
