Interior Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Naif ben Abd al-Aziz said that during the past twenty-four hours another eleven people were arrested who are suspected of being members of Al-Qaida and of complicity in the recent terrorist acts in Riyadh.
Addressing the Wednesday news conference in Tabuk (the north western part of the Kingdom) he said that among the detained there were three ulemas (theologians) who called for jihad against the United States, and also foreign women whom they called their wives.
The minister also said that altogether 21 people were arrested in Riyadh after the terrorist acts of May 12.
However, the Saudi opposition stated that during the arrests three persons were killed, including two theologians.
The terrorist acts in Riyadh on May 12 killed 24 people, including citizens of the Western countries, and 200 people were injured.
