US evacuates its citizens from Saudi

The US Embassy in Moscow has officially confirmed that the Department of State gave an order to evacuate the technical personnel and members of the families of the American diplomats from the American diplomatic mission in Riyadh.

This decision has been taken after a string of terrorist acts in the capital of Saudi Arabia, which killed at least 50 people as a whole.

In his turn, the Qatar TV channel Al-Jazeera reported that the United States was also evacuating the technical personnel and members of the diplomatic families from the Consulates General in the cities of Jidda and Dahran.

Washington has again urged the Americans to enhance vigilance and measures of personal safety.

According to Al-Jazeera, there are about 30,000 US citizens in the Kingdom.

Terrorist acts on May 12 killed seven and injured 44 Americans.
