Hundreds of Kyrgyz Need to Be Resettled From Possible Landslide Area

According to Kyrgyz Prime Minister Nikolai Tanayev, 600 families need to be urgently resettled from the area of possible landslides.

He said that about 260 families (at least 1,300 people) have already been resettled from the perilous area.

Most of the people, evacuated from the dangerous areas, were hosted by their relatives. However, the state has committed to allot gift loans to the families that lost their homes and plots for housing.

The Russian government pledged to provide Kyrgyzstan with several tens of sectional houses to accommodate the relocatees and special network for strengthening dams.
