29 children, poisoned with hydrogen sulphide after the accident on the Volgograd oil processing plant on April 17th, were discharged from local hospitals on Monday evening and Tuesday morning. They all are students of school No.8 and were admitted to hospitals on the first day of the accident with toxicological poisoning, the city administration's healthcare department reported.
However, not all patients have this diagnosis confirmed, the department pointed out. Thus, after examination of 14 patients with symptoms of toxicological poisoning admitted to hospital No.16, the diagnosis was not confirmed in eleven cases.
At present the special set-up committee is continuing its work. It comprises qualified doctors, toxicologists, and pediatricians. 72 patients, four of them adults, remain in Volgograd hospitals.
