Gunmen planning major act of terrorism in Chechnya

The gunmen are planning a major act of terrorism in Chechnya. The headquarters of the joint grouping of troops reported that the terrorists may choose as their aim the government complex in Grozny or the railway on which there has of late been intensive movement of suburban and far distance trains.

It was stressed in the headquarters that in this way the gunmen leaders intend to "report" to their sponsors for the money they have received.

According to the headquarters, presumably on June 29 a regular large sum of money was delivered to Chechnya from Baku from the Muslim Brothers organization. The headquarters named as the receiver of the money Abu Al-Valid, successor of the killed field commander Khattab. The money is meant to carry out an act of terrorism.

The same source noted that the command of the grouping and the law-enforcement bodies of the republic are taking prompt measures.
