IN NOVEMBER YUGOSLAVIA MAY JOIN TO "PARTNERSHIP FOR PEACE" NATO PROGRAM

The NATO decision on Yugoslavia's accession to the "Partnership for Peace" program can be expected in November this year at the summit in Prague or at the beginning of the next year, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Defence Minister Velimir Radojevic said.

"After the NATO Council of Ministers through its political structures is convinced in the intentions of a country to join the program, the NATO puts forward certain conditions for the accession to the program", the Yugoslav Minister disclosed in his interview with Vecerne Novosti newspaper.

As the experience of the states of the former Eastern bloc shows, it takes less than six months to sign three agreements on joining the program. The agreements are signed by the country's President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister or Defence Minister.
