Four servicemen wounded in Chechnya in militants' attack on stronghold of interior ministry forces

Four servicemen were wounded in a militant attack on a stronghold of the Interior Ministry forces in the Nozhai-Yurt district of Chechnya.

As RIA Novosti was told on Friday at the Regional Operational Staff for Controlling the Counter-terrorist Operation in the North Caucasus, at about 20.15 Moscow time yesterday, in the north-eastern outskirt of Yalkhoi Mokhk populated area of the Nozhai-Yurt district a group of militants opened fire from automatic weapons and underbarrel grenade-launchers at a platoon stronghold of a military unit of the Interior Ministry forces of Russia. The servicemen opened return fire.

As a result of the exchange of fire, the platoon commander and three privates were wounded and hospitalised.
