Act of terror prevented in Chechnya

The staff workers of the provisional interior department discovered a powerful home-made explosive device ready for use in the incomplete building on the outskirts of the Urus-Martan district centre.

The regional headquarters of the temporary operative grouping reported that the device included one kilogram of plastid and 500 grams of hexagen. It was camouflaged in a piece of a fire-hose and had metal scraps, nails, bolts and screws.

A search is now being conducted for persons who prepared the explosive device for use. The officers of the Urus-Martan provisional interior department believe that a large act of terror was being prepared in the district centre, which was prevented by a lucky chance.
