Ten land mines have been found and destroyed in Chechnya over the past 24 hours. Four of them were discovered in the Zavodskoi district of the Chechen capital of Grozny. They were planted in industrial areas, mainly, on roads, the regional staff of the anti-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus reported on Thursday.
A home-made explosive device consisting of a 82-mm mortar shell, a 200-g TNT piece and a radio detonator have been discovered by a combat engineer unit in Matrosov street in Grozny.
Seven land mines and home-made explosive devices have been found and defused in the Urus-Martan, Kurchaloi and Shali districts of Chechnya.
