Ingushetia Interior Ministry's commandos detain Chechen terrorist

An operation on detention of a Chechen terrorist in Ingushetia's border region has been successfully accomplished by the Ingushetian, Russian and Chechen Interior Ministries' commandos on Wednesday. A 45-year-old citizen of Chechnya Said Vatiev had been temporarily residing in a tent settlement "Alina", situated on the outskirts of Sleptsovskaya village close to the administrative border with Chechnya, where he was detained. Vatiev is suspected of committing a number of grave crimes such as kidnapping of a citizen from Alpatovo village of the Chechen Naursk district and a murder of a police inspector from the Naursk regional interior department and seizure of his gun. The criminal has been handed over to the Chechen legal bodies and is now under investigation. Three more citizens of Chechnya suspected of committing a number of crimes were also detained on Tuesday.
