Militant Setting High-Explosive Bomb Caught And Killed In Chechnya

A militant who was caught while trying to set a high-explosive bomb and who then opened fire at policemen was killed in Chechnya. The Headquarters of the Interior Ministry Joint Grouping in the North Caucasus informed RIA Novosti that the incident happened Tuesday night in Urus-Martan. During manhunt activities policemen noted an unknown man setting the bomb on the curb of a crossroads. When the policemen attempted to detain the militant, he opened pistol fire at them. The personality of the bandit was identified. He turned out to be a 21-year old Urus-Martan resident, Arses Vazikayev.
