A Lot Of Weapons And Ammunition Confiscated In Chechnya Over The Past 24 Hours

During the search and preventive operations the staff workers of the temporary interior departments of Chechnya discovered and confiscated a Borz machine-gun, a rifle, a shot gun, 82 rounds for grenade launchers of various types, 26 hand grenades, 26 artillery shells, 10 mines, more than 4,200 cartridges for fire arms of various calibres. According to a spokesman for the interior ministry's information department, two home-made explosive devices and 8 illegal oil mini-refineries were also destroyed. Over the past 24 hours unidentified persons four times shelled the places of permanent and temporary dislocation of troops and the motor transport of the interior bodies and troops of the Russian interior ministry. A retaliatory fire was opened in all cases.
