Four Russians Kept Hostage At Istanbul Hotel

Alexander Yakovenko, official spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, has informed RIA Novosti that four Russian nationals are being kept as hostages at the Istanbul Swissotel. According to the spokesman, the Russian Foreign Ministry pays heed to the information about the hostages, while the Russian embassy to Ankara and the Consulate General to Istanbul are staying in contact with local authorities. The Russian Foreign Ministry decisively condemns this barbaric act and calls for the Turkish authorities to take measures to settle this dangerous situation and punish the criminals. Yakovenko stressed that terrorists should immediately liberate the hostages.
