Russian Ambassador in Beirut concerned about Israel bombing syrian facilities in Lebanon

Russian Ambassador in Beirut, Boris Bolotin, expressed grave concern over Israeli Air Force raiding Syrian facilities in Lebanon. RIA Novosti reports Bolotin spoke to reporters Tuesday following his meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Mahmud Hammud. The top Lebanese diplomat had briefed ambassadors accredited in the country on regional developments triggered by the Israeli air attack on Syrian military facilities in Lebanon. He enunciated Lebanon's position on the issue. The Russian ambassador told the media that Israel's move had noticeably aggravated the tension in the region. He pointed out that such actions were not acceptable. According to the ambassador, the volatile situation dictates that Russia urge all parties to exercise restraint in order to prevent actions that could further heighten the tension in the region. Boris Bolotin said he hoped that all the parties involved in the conflict would do their best to prevent further escalation of tension. He reiterated Russia's urge not to use force in the current dangerous situation.
