An armed group of four people was arrested in Stavropol on suspicion of organization of terrorist acts in the cities of Mineralnye Vody and Yessentuki. According to the report of the prosecutor's office of the Stavropol territory the group was detained on Friday when leaving Stavropol by car. Representatives of the prosecutor's office mentioned that the operation was conducted so swiftly that none of the suspects had time to put up resistance. All suspects are residents of neighbouring republics in the North Caucasus.
The Stavropol territory prosecutor's office indicated that a criminal case was opened in connection with this fact. Its details are not reported but investigators are known to have grounds to suspect involvement of those four people in the organization of terrorist acts on 24 March in the cities of Mineralniye Vody and Yessentuki as a result of which 21 people were killed and about 100 were wounded.
