Operation To Drydock Kursk Nuclear Submarine Completed

The unique operation to drydock the nuclear submarine Kursk was completed at 3:15 p.m., Moscow time. According to Vladimir Navrotsky, head of the Northern Fleet press service, the 140 meter-long vessel has been pulled inside the floating dock No. 50 in the village of Roslyakovo along with the barge Giant-4 and two pontoons. The barge and the pontoons will leave the dock as soon as the submarine is fully docked, which, according to experts from Rubin Central Design Bureau, is likely to happen within 5 days.
